About Us

Since 1982, Emergency Food Network’s dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, and generous supporters have worked to fulfill our mission “to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse, and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry." Since our founding, we have grown from serving four food programs to more than 75 food pantries, meal sites, and shelters.

EFN leverages donated, purchased, and government food to distribute 2 meals for $1. Each month, EFN provides our partners with more than one million pounds of food and critical technical support at no cost to them. We also directly serve 700 households each month through our Home Delivery Program. Funds raised at Abundance will help EFN reach its goal of distributing 20 million pounds of food in 2026 and support our network in serving more than 3 million food pantry visits.
