About Us

Since 1982, Emergency Food Network’s dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, and generous supporters have worked to fulfill our mission “to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse, and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry." Since our founding, we have grown from serving four food programs to more than 75 food pantries, meal sites, and shelters.

EFN leverages donated, purchased, and government food to distribute 2 meals for $1. Each month, EFN provides our partners with more than one million pounds of food and critical technical support at no cost to them. We also directly serve more than 300 households each week through our Home Delivery Program. In 2024, EFN distributed 13.8 million pounds of food and supported our partners in serving 3.1 million visits, an all-time high.
